This mornings check on the outer reefs revealed that wave hieght had definetly
dropped. The tide was pretty low with some of the reef exposed in places. There was
some waves breaking in the 2ft range with the odd slightly bigger one. There was
only a light wind and it was coming out of the north. I decieded to head up to
Canggu again and see if there was anymore swell hitting up there. When I arrived
the reef was still uncovered but I could see that as it pushed in there was going to
be some great waves. It was not really any bigger, waves were in the 2-3ft range
with an occasional bigger one. The lucky few that were surfing the left got some
pretty good barrels. There was a small crew on the middle section also getting
barrels and a large crowd on the right. The wind swung around 10am and conditions
slowly deteriated so headed home about 11:30am. The weather here at the moment is
hot with a high pecentage of humidity as I can testify after standing in the sun for
almost four hours dripping in sweat. You gotta keep your liquads up and my bottle of
water was very close at all times. Well thats it for now, I think things are going
to keep an even keel wave wise for the next few days so stay tuned to what will be
happening over here in beautiful Bali.
