**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hey crew and welcome back to the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather report and the start of another fresh surfing week here in Bali . And what a shocker it’s been here along Bali ’s West Coast today. I was up pre dawn this morning (trying to catch up on my email log) and even then the wind was howling outta the West at upta 20knot . Not to mention the rain. So needless to say there was no chance of finding anything remotely surfable on this side of the island.
So we once again loaded up the rental and made our way back over to “Secrets” on the other side of the island. We pulled into the parking area to see some perfect little lefts and rights peeling off in the 2-3ft range, pretty much the same as yesterday. The wind was coming straight off-shore and the rain just starting to blow over and out to sea, leaving a pretty much clear blue sky. Surfing conditions remained pristine until around 11.00am when the wind did its usual shift into the South South Western quadrant. But by that time our crew had already had a good 3hr session and after a quick plate of fried noodles in the local warung (cafe) we headed back to Home Base . Back here in Tuban I bumped into my old friend Devis Ratif, he said he was surfing up at Keramas around the same time that we were at Secrets. According to Devis Keramas was smoking through clean right hand barrels in the 2-4ft range. Hopefully wave height should hang in there again for tomorrow, maybe just dropping off a touch at the worst. I’ll be heading back out again tomorrow and will have some fresh photos for ya’s when I get back to HB.
