**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy folks and welcome back to the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather run down for today. As ya’s mighta noticed our man Scott made the run upto Keramas on Bali ’s Eastern seaboard and these are the pictures as proof. But by the time he finished surfing at Sanur Reef in waist to head high waves the wind had already swung further around to the South making it cross/on-shore. But still it looked ok hey.
This morning the 9th and when I went down for the morning surf check of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wave height has appeared to have dropped of a foot or so. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Lefts is showing in the 1-2ft+ range. The tide was on the bottom of the low at 6.30am and the wind was coming outta the West @ 5-8knot and on-shore along Bali ’s West Coast. I also had an sms come through from one of my friends up at Keramas around the same time I was down sussing it out. Wave height at Keramas this morning is still pushing the head to head high plus range and surfing conditions were clean and smooth with off-shore wind. Unfortunately the tide was still low at the time but by now (8.30am) it should be breaking nicely. But I’m sure by late morning the wind will once again shift around the the SW-SSW so about right now would be the best time to be in the water.
Weather wise out there we’ve had a few drops of rain earlier but we’ll be in for a mainly hot, humid and sunny day around the beach.
Changing dollars to Rupiah out on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that; –1US$=Rp9,400. –1AU$=Rp8,200. – 1NZ$=Rp7,650 —
