**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com for the run down on Bali’s surfing and weather conditions . Well I got off to a bit of a late start today but it was all pre meditated after looking at the swell prediction charts yesterday. But I’ll cover that below. Ok when I did go down for the surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wave height was only showing in the 1-1ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . The wind direction was coming lightly outta the West @ 2-5knot , on-shore, but still clean enough to surf in if there was some swell. If I was looking for a wave I’d be heading down to Nusa Dua over on Bali’s East Coast because that’s where you’d find the most size and clean off-shore wind. Tomorrow morning I’m gunna be taking the crew from here at Home Base for a dawn patrol session so hopefully I’ll have some photos for ya’s when we get back.
Weather wise today it’s just another hot and sunny day on the holiday island of Bali. We can expect the outside temperature to be around the 32-33 degree Celsius mark, and a water temp of 23-24 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Prediction; There’s still not much happening swell wise down in the Indian Ocean. Well not for this part of the Indian anyway. We are still under the influence of High Pressure Cells, causing the dreaded “yo-yo effect” on our wave height. But over on the south western part of the Indian there’s plenty o action from two Tropical Cyclone’s spinning over the last week. What we can expect over the next 7 day period is… more small but possibly fun sized waves ranging from 1-4ft depending on location. Head South for the best waves !
Well Thanks to all the kind hearted folks that have helped us improve the conditions up at the Datah Primary School ! We are making some real progress with the objectives we made, so make sure you check out our progress at the school via the “SCHOOL PROJECT” page over on the menue bar .
