**** EVENING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello crew and thanks for dropping in to see what’s been happening surf and weather wis e here in Bali , via the one and only original baliwaves.com.
Well we got off to a late start this morning around here at Home Base Bali, we got a bit crazy last night, drinking tequila suicides , seeing as though some of the boys staying with us will soon be leaving Bali and heading back home. There wasn’t much happening on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban with wave height only showing in the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left .
With the Full Moon rising tonight the first of todays tides was a 2.5mtr High around 10.00am and then we had a reef exposing 0.2mtr Low around 4.00pm this afternoon. The wind has been coming outta the ESE-SE, blowing off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu .
As ya’s can see in these latest photos outta Ind onesia the boys and I went for a cruise down to Bingin for the low tide to see what was going on. Once again these photos kinda make it look a lot better than what it really was. There was a long wait between anything that actually broke, and when they did it was right on the reef with a mere 1 foot of water covering it. Wave height woulda only been in the 1-2ft+ range with only 3 surfers in the
water.
Dreamland: A lot of people have asked me about whats happening down at the once beautiful beach called Dreamland. Well the word is that all the warungs and café’s have been pulled down for a developers dream. Just about all the sand has been washed away and the place is looking very sad, so are the locals who were once making a life down there. Check out photos number 8 and 9 to see how Dreamland looks today……
Weather wise on the baliwaves.com scale of weather we’d have to give her a 8-10 for the blue sky and sunshine. Todays maximum tempe rature woulda easily busted through into the 30’s Celsius. The water tempe rature is still perfect at 24 degree’s Celsius.
Datah Primary School : My next visit to the shool will be on the 23rd of this mont h and hopefully I’ll be able to show you some photos of the completed wall and new gate. I also have another batch of tex t books and colouring in pencils and other stuff to del iver for the kids.
Surfboard Tax outta Bali : There is none…. And the people responsible for spreading that economy damaging rumor should be placed inside a board bag, hung from a tree and slowly roasted over a burning garbage can.
