MACARONI’S SURF RESORT, Latest Report – June 03
Hi there guys,
A quick up date on this weeks trip at Macaronis Resort…
After picking up our new guests in Sikakap on Friday, we headed south to Thunders aboard the Laut India as the surf conditions were still small. At Thunders we scored some great double over head waves for a couple of days, before the boys were keen to head back up to the resort. On arrival at Macas on Sunday evening the waves were small, around 2 feet, and the crew were waiting anxiously for the new swell to arrive.
We had a fun 3ft session yesterday morning then boarded Laut India for a day trip to Bat cave, where the boys scored some fun 4ft right handers with light on shore winds. On the way up to Bat cave Robbie also managed to catch a very nice 3 kg Wahoo, which went down a treat on the BBQ Sonny arranged for dinner last night. We arrived back to Macas at 5pm last night, only to find the swell had pulsed and with the out going tide, some great waves were enjoyed by all.
This mornings session was even better again, 4ft and glassy conditions. Mungalui arrived with a boat load of girls who hit the water and began ripping it up. The forecast is for the swell to stick around for the next few days with off shore winds, so we’re all looking forward to some long sessions in the water and scoring some perfect Macaronis.
Hope you all enjoy the pic’s, we’ll be back with another report in the next few days.
The Stickman
