Canggu Report
Today I was heading up to Canggu to visit a good friend of mine. Its Kuningan over here in Bali today and so I was invited to go to their house for a meal and watch the ceremony. I left home at around 7:30am, and as soon as I got to Seminyak the rain came down. It rained the rest of the way to Canggu. It was lucky I kept my rain coat on the bike as otherwise I would have been drenched completely.
Before I went to my friends home, I headed to the beach and grabbed a little bit of the action that was occuring in the water. Waves were in the 2-3ft range, waist to head high, and pretty conisistent. There was a strong crew of about 25+ on the river mouth and another dozen on each of the other two peaks. When I got there though I just wonted to get out of the rain so it was straight in the warung. Once things cleared up a little a went for a walk along the beach to get a little closer to the action.
I stayed till about 11am and although it was overcast most of the morning it was clearing up as I packed the gear to head over to my fiends place. The wind started to blow around 10am but didn’t really gather any force to effect the water till 11am or so. I have been taking care of immigration matters and few little mechanical problems on the bike the last few days so thats the reason for the lack of photos on my behalf. Last night I checked the forcast to see what was going to be on offer and We should see some swell showing hopefully heading into the start of this week, so stay tuned to see if it eventuates.
Till next time. Scott.
