Kandui Surf Resort Oct 13th surf report
The surf looked a tad bigger out front this morning. Some of the guys got right on
it and surfed the empty lineup all morning. The rest of us went to have a look at
Bankvaults. The winds were light out of the northwest so we thought it might be
happening. There was a little size there, maybe going 3 or 4 feet overhead on the
sets, but it wasn’t lining up super well. It was fun enough though with only one
other guy out and simi glassy conditions. Our other boat surfed Beng Beng. It was a little bigger, but a little more busy than yesterday. The winds went southeast
just as they got there, so that worked out for them as that wind is offshore there.
They surfed until well into the afternoon. The winds went west in the late
afternoon and we surfed 4 Bobs, fun as usual. Expecting smaller surf tomorrow.
Kandui Surf Resort Oct 12th surf report
No sign of the expected swell this morning. We went searching for surf anyway and ended up at Beng Beng. It was clean and no one was out, but it was looking pretty small. Our crew braved the flat waters, and it paid off for them. There was a
waist high set then a chest high set, and after a couple of hours sets were going
overhead. Our second boat ended up at Beng Beng as well and we had a little shift change. It was glassy and no one out when the second boat went back for a late lunch. It was hard to leave, but stomachs were growling. Turns out we should have just stuck it out because by the time we got back in the afternoon the winds came up onshore out of the west and there were two boats on it! Rule #1-Don’t leave good surf!!! The guys that stayed at the resort were glad to see the west winds because that is offshore at 4 Bobs and they had some head high surf rolling through, so it was fun. We are hoping for possibly a little bigger surf tomorrow.

It was looking a little smaller out front this morning, but not by much. There
were still some shoulder high sets at 4 Bobs and some of our guys surfed it early.
Midday we went to Nipusi where it was still a little overhead, although a bit mixed
up. Still fun though. In the afternoon, 4 Bobs was again the call as the winds
went west and blew offshore. It was still shoulder high and conditions were good.
We are expecting a little swell to be showing by tomorrow. It should have more west in it than this last swell so maybe we will find a left to surf tomorrow.
Kandui Surf Resort Oct 10 surf report
That super south, even southeast, swell just will not give up the ghost. 4 Bobs
still had fun waves this morning. Winds were light out of the south so we decided
to hang around and surf here rather than surf bumpy Nipusi or ultra small Beng
Beng. The winds went west in the afternoon and a few of the guys surfed small
Rifles. Otherwise, it was shoulder high 4 Bobs for the crew. Looking for smaller
surf tomorrow.
