****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE**** Hello to all you surfers with Bali on your mind and thanks for tuning into the baliwaves.com for the start of another surfing week and the run down on todays surfing and weather conditions from the No.1 surfing holiday destination.
First up there wasn’t a lot happening surfwise here in Bali on Sunday so the boys and I just had a lazy paddle on the beach breaks of Padma St up in Legian. I actually took a few photos but decided against loading them up (2ft and on-shore).
This morning I never even went down for a look at the Outer Reefs instead the boys and I from here at Home Base headed straight across to Serangan on the East Coast at 8.00AM to try and catch some cleaner conditions. And as you can see in todays photos I took we did. The tide was still pretty low when we arrived with the 1.9mtr high tide not happening until 1.00PM.
Apon arrival I was surprised to only find around 10 surfers in the water with some nice left and right hand peaks coming through straight out in front of the café’s. Surfing conditions were clean and almost glassy except for a light SW wind just starting to show. But by 11.00AM had increased to around the 6-8knot strength and more on-shore than not. By the time we packed up the total number of surfers in the water was still only relatively low for Serangan at 30.
Weather wise it’s been a hot and humid old day with no rain falling in the last 48hrs, well not here in Tuban anyway. Todays maximum temperature would have easily busted 30 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Forecast 1st Dec – 6th Dec : Well unfortunately for now we are still in the grip of the yo-yo effect and can only expect to see wave height in the head to head high plus range at best over the next few days to come. Then around Thursday hopefully we will get a small spike in size through till Friday before dropping back down into the waist to head high class at the better locations over the coming weekend.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you will find that 1AU$=Rp7,900 – 1US$=Rp12,100 give or take 100 Rupiah.
I also just wanna refresh ya’s about what baliwaves.com is all about. We’re not trying to flog ya’s surf trips or sell ya’s anything for that matter, we’re just trying to show ya’s how good it is here in Bali / Indonesia for a surfing holiday. We want you guys to come over and have a ball and then go back home and tell your friends how good it is.
