****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Hi crew and thanks for taking the time out from your very busy day at work to stop by the baliwaves.com for the very latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on the holiday island of Bali.
As ya’s can see in these latest photos I loaded up yesterday evening we made the run across to Serangan. The waves featured in this batch were probably the best that came through all day. On average wave height was in the 1-2ft range with the very very occasional 3ft (head high set wave). I was more interested in shooting the girls along the beach….
Well this morning I nreluctantly made my way down for a surf recon of the Outer reefs of Tuban at 7.15Am. Reluctantly because the wind was already howling out of the WSW @ 12-16knot. But never the less wave height has increased a touch all though it be mainly wind driven waves they were pushing 2-3ft+ between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Tide wise today we had a 0.1mtr Low @ 7.30Am and then we’ll get a 2.2mtr High just after 1.00Pm this afternoon.
Looking for a wave today , well that’s a tough call, There probably is a bit more swell available today but the wind is strong out of the W-SW so conditions are going to be rough at just about every location except Serangan. The reef at Nusa Dua is 400yrds off-shore and too exposed to the cross-shore wind.
Weather wise it’s a shocker out there since the rain started around 7.30Am and is still falling n ow at 9.30Am. Hopefully it should clear up by midday, but thenwe can expect more rain later this afternoon / evening. We can also expect this strong WSW wind to keep blowing over the next day or two at least.
Ok that’s us for now but tune back in later on this evening and we should have some more quality photos for you. Have a good one and we hope to see you here in Bali this year.
Photo up-dates , Scott sent us another surf report and photos in from Burleigh Heads on Autralia’s Gold Coast. Plus I managed to load up over 100 photos into our January Surfing Gallery. So have a flick through those to give you some Bali Holiday inspiration.
