Good morning to all you surfers and thanks for tuning into the baliwaves.com for the no nonsense, tell it how it is daily surf and weather report from the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Yesterday we were forced back over to Serangan on the East Coast due to the wind being a bit stronger out of the WNW. And as ya’s can see in the photos I shot surfing conditions I’d have to say were pretty good. Wave height was still in the 3-4ft range with the very occasional slightly bigger set wave.
This mornings 7.15Am surf recon of the Outer Reefs was showing another drop in wave size, now at 1-1ft+ between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy and there were some surfers in the water at Airport Left. But by the look of the black clouds heading this way from the South I don’t think these conditions will last much longer.
Tide wise we will have a 1.5mtr High around 10.00Am and then she’ll be dropping out for a measely 1.0mtr Low around 3.30Pm. Tomorrow the 25th will see a New Moon rising and with that we’ll see some much bigger differences in tidal ranges over the following few days.
Looking for a wave today, well my guess is that Uluwatu would have had a few 2-3ft+ waves for the early risers. But for more size I’d be heading over to the East Coast. And that’s where we will be making tracks for after lunch. So drop back in later this evening if you get a chance and we’ll have yet more new photos to show you.
Street News, Well we have survived the Christmas and New Year Domestic crush here in Bali and now coming up on the 26th of Jan the streets will be jammed with another run of Domestic tourists for the Chinese New Year “Imlek”. So if you’re here in Bali expect plenty of traffic jams in and around the Kuta area.
Weather wise today things were looking good around this part of the island but like I mentioned there was some very black and rain laden clouds moving in from down South. So there’s a big chance of seeing some rain at some point in time today. Expecting a top temperature of around 28 degree’s Celsius.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Tuban you’ll find that 1AU$=Rp7,150 and 1US$=Rp10,850 give or take 100Rupiah depending on vender.
