MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE
Hi folks and thanks for taking the time off to cruise through the baliwaves.com and see whats been happening on the happy holiday island of Bali.
First of all as you can see in the first couple of new photos I’ve loaded up (courtesy or the Macaroni Surf Resort & Scotto on the Gold Coast) The Aussie Owners of the Macaroni Resort have been scoring some very nice little off-season waves all to themselves the lucky buggers. And as usual the Gold Coast is producing small but fun sized waves on the Super Bank. You can check out their full reports and see all their photos on the Macaroni Surf Report and Scott’s stuff on our Readers Report.
Also if you happen to tune into the baliwaves this Sunday you might just find a new design baliwaves.com, and we hope you like it.
Well this mornings surf recon of the Outer Reefs was showing some waist to waist high plus sized waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with quite a few surfers in the water on Airport Left. It is the season for the Japanese surfers to hit Bali in numbers around this time of the year through till April I guess.
Wind direction through the early Am was coming out of the North @ 3-5knot and surfing conditions were fairly clean. Then around 9.00Am she switched back to the West and may even go further around to the WSW as the afternoon progresses.
Looking for a wave today, well the early birds would have had some waves down at Uluwatu. The cleanest conditions would have been found at Canggu, Balian and Medewi while the wind was Northerly. For the afternoon session it would have to be over on the East Coast with Serangan the best bet for clean surfing conditions.
Weather wise today there’s nothing but blue sky and the midday temperature would be floating around the 28-30 degree Celsius mark.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Tuban you’ll find that 1AU$=Rp7,650 and 1US$=Rp11,850 give or take 100Rupiah depending on vender.
