MORNING SURF UP-DATE
Hello surfers, thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for more surf and weather information from the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well things are not looking real good out there this morning. My first surf check of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to be only just breaking in the 1-1ft+ range at best. Surfing conditions were clean enough with the wind only light out of the West @ 1-3knot. Airport Left was breaking in the knee to waist high range and there were surfers in the water at the time. Bugger all on Kuta and Middle Reefs. So I guess we made the right decision again yesterday taking the run up the coast to Balian.
Tide wise today we’ll see a 2.0mtr High around 11.00Am and then we’ll have a 0.6mtr Low @ 4.30Pm. We also have a New Moon rising tonight so once again we’ll start to get some bigger tide differences over the next few days.
Weather wise we were off to nice start earlier with plenty of blue sky but now @ 10.30Am we are starting to get some cloud drift over us. Temperature wise the mercury should max out around the 29-30 degree Celsius mark out of the shade.
Looking for a wave today, well my pick would have been to take a run down to Uluwatu on the southern end of the island and hopefully find some waist to head high waves. But the boys from here at Home Base opted for Airport Left. Maybe over at Nusa Dua (Geger Beach) you might also find something in the waist to head range. So it would be left handers at Ulu for the Goofy footers, or Geger Beach with right handers for the Naturals. Or you could always have a lazy paddle up along the beach breaks between Kuta and Legian around the top of the tide.
Looking at the swell forecast for the next week and it looks like it’s going to be better conditions for fishing than surfing with no real increase in wave height at least until next Sunday. But then again there’s always plenty to go see and do here in Bali.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Tuban you’ll find that 1AU$=Rp7,600 and 1US$=Rp11,990 give or take 100Rupiah depending on vender.
Best Regards from the No.1 surfing holiday destination that’s got it all, BALI, see ya’s here in 2009
