Hi crew and thanks for dropping in to see, or I should say read about whats been happening surf and weather wise here on your surfing holiday island of Bali over the last couple of days.
Well to start off with wave height had been pretty much on the weak side since Tuesday and not much worth busting out the camera equipment for. Yesterday I was talking to “Betet” (Quicksilver Indonesia Team Rider) who also lives here at Home Base and he said he surfed at Keramas with wave height only just hitting head high on the bigger set waves. Today and it’s even worse with wave height continuing to drop. Here on the Outer Reefs wave height is no more than 1 foot at best and being driven by the strong W-WSW wind gusting up to 20knot++
I did have plans to go and try and shoot some photos for you today but weather conditions are not co-operating at all. The strong wind I can handle but combined with some heavy rain and it’s a no go. So all we can do is sit out and keep the fingers crossed for better conditions tomorrow.
In the mean time check out these photos I’ve loaded up from a few of the different locations around Bali !!
Just for the record, the first tide today was a 0.1mtr Low @ 6.00Am and then we’ll have a 2.3mtr High @12.00noon, finishing off the day with another 0.4mtr Low around 6.00Pm
Weather wise today. Stay in doors, rain and strong W-WSW wind.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Tuban you’ll find that 1AU$=Rp7,700 and 1US$=Rp11,850 give or take 100Rupiah depending on vender.
