****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions once again from first choice surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok this morning I headed down to the beach at 7.00am with high expectations of seeing some big waves hitting the Outer Reefs. Although there had been a significant increase in size, but not quite as big as expected and not enough to see Padang Padang open up it’s secret treasure. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was breaking in the 3-5ft class. As you can see in these latest photos I’ve loaded I opted to shoot a few pictures at Kuta Reef. But I kinda felt sorry for the waves today… At the time I was out there there would have been at least 50 surfers in the line up and not one ounce of manners between the lot. On average around 3 drop ins per wave and a surf board repairer’s delight. The waves were peeling nicely in the 3-4ft range but no barrels on offer today. Middle Reef was smoking through the early morning before the tide started to flood in and there were some solid double over head waves for the dozen or so crew out there. Airport Left was a bit too lumpy with the new swell and only half a dozen takers on it. To me it looked like wave height was already starting to back off by 1.00pm with a much longer wait for the sets and not a lot breaking in between.
Our sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was also saying that wave height had jumped back into the 6ft range and things were shaping up for a big day of waves over at G-Land. No surfers in the water @ 8.00am
Ok the 10% discount for the early bookings has finished but I’ve spoken with the boss and he’s still prepared to give anyone who mentions baliwaves.com a 5% discount on standard and twin share bungalows and a 10% discount on their air conditioned bungalows. Just mention baliwaves.com at their office and you’ll get money back in your pocket.
The ESE-SE off-shore Tradewind started to kick in at 8.45am so surfing conditions were clean and tidy.
Tidal info for today was calling for a 0.7mtr Low @ 6.00am and then filling back in for a 2.4mtr High at midday.
Weather wise it’s been mainly clear and sunny with a little bit of early morning cloud and the temperature currently 31 degree’s @ 2.00pm.
Photo up-date; Ray has finally got back out to the Kandui Surfing Resort up in the Mentawai’s and sent us through some new photos and surf report. So if your heading that way you had better check them out !
Ok friends just a quick one for today but we’ll keep it coming though out the weekend, so stay tuned to the one and only original Bali surf report website.
Best Regards from Bali
