****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for tuning into the baliwaves.com for another look at surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little holiday island of Bali. And here’s another load of photos from Hendra and hif photo team down at Uluwatu to help get ya’s through the afternoon.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was to me showing wave height to have backed off a touch more but still breaking in the 2-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Surfing conditions were clean and smooth @ 8.00am with the wind already coming lightly out of the ESE @ 2-5knot, and has since then increased in strength up to 10-12knot. The best waves were through the early morning before the tide has filled in for a 2.5mtr High @ 11.00am. Middle Reef will be the best bet for a paddle on the Outer Reefs as the tide starts to run back out for a dry reef 0.1mtr low around 6.00pm. And of course you’d be able to find more size and power down at Uluwatu.
I also had a friend who is staying at the G-Land Surf Camp send me an sms (short but sweet) surf report this morning saying that wave height was still hooking through in the 4-6ft range peeling down the reef from Money Tree’s to the Launching Pad. We also have another photo deliver from G-land and I’ll get them up on line for ya’s ASAP
Ok the 10% discount for the early bookings has finished but I’ve spoken with the boss and he’s still prepared to give anyone who mentions baliwaves.com a 5% discount on standard and twin share bungalows and a 10% discount on their air conditioned bungalows. Just mention baliwaves.com at their office and you’ll get money back in your pocket.
Weather wise here in the Tuban / Kuta area, more blue sky and sunshine heading for a top temperature of 33 degree’s along the beach.
Swell Forecast; Ok so the charts are saying that wave height should hold through today and maybe even pick up another foot or so through out this afternoon. Monday see’s wave height backing off a touch and holding through Tuesday in the 3-5ft range depending on location. Wednesday see’s wave height dropping back into the 2-4ft+ class through till Thursday evening when we should see another solid swell gracing the reefs around Bali pushing wave height back into the 6-8ft+ peg and hopefully another round of Padang Padang for Friday. Saturday wave height falling back into the 4-6ft range, then Sunday smaller again. But just on the edge of the radar there’s another system moving up the Indian Ocean arriving around Tuesday week. So get ready or start booking your flights to Bali.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp8,250 — 1US$=Rp10,350 — So get over here and get the most out of your holiday dollar.
Best Regards from Bali
