****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Good afternoon everyone and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com for the round up on todays surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Yesterdays swell has pretty much left us already with this mornings surf check of the Outer reefs only showing wave height breaking in the 2-4ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. But even so there were still some nice ones breaking on Middle Reef in the chest to head high plus sector through the early morning Low tide. Kuta Reef was also producing some ful sized peelers bending along the reef in the chest to head high range as the tide was pushing back in. We’ll be heading down to the Bukit on Bali’s Southern end of the island tomorrow to see what the waves are like at Uluwatu.
Surfing conditions have been clean and tidy all day with the off-shore ESE-SE Tradewind gusting up to 14knot.
Tidal info for today, we had a 0.6mtr Low @ 8.00am and then running back in for a 2.1mtr High around the 2.00pm mark.
Weather wise it hasn’t missed a beat with nothing less that blu sky and sunshine. Temperature wise the mercury would have easily hit 31 degree’s Celsius.
Our daily sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was saying that wave height was still coming through in the 4-6ft range and hitting Moeny Tree’ perfectly.
You can also find some new photos of G-land on our G-Land surf report page.
G-land; Ok the 10% discount for the early bookings into the G-Land Surf Camp has finished but I’ve spoken with the boss and he’s still prepared to give anyone who mentions baliwaves.com a 5% discount on standard, twin share and fan bungalows and a 10% discount on their air conditioned bungalows. Just mention baliwaves.com at their office and you’ll get money back in your pocket.
New Video Clip has been loaded and it features Kuta Reef and the Racetrack section of Uluwatu. So make sure ya take a look !!!
Here’s a few tips for any new visitors, 1/ don’t change your dollars to Rupiah at home, you’ll get a much better rate over here in Bali. 2/ If you need to change dollars at the airport when you arrive only change enough to get you to your hotel. The airport also has lower rates than on the street. 3/ Changing dollars with the money exchanging counters on the streets always use the vendors that display a “no commission fee” sign.
And don’t forget to drop me a line if your looking for some surfer friendly accommodation here in Bali. Right here at Home Base we have single rooms for US$15.00, US$18.00 couple’s & US$25.00 for a twin share room. All rooms have Air conditioning, hot and cold water, tv, refridgerator and large private bathroom. 300mtrs back from the beach in fron of the Outer reefs here in Tuban.
Ok friends of Bali thats about me for today but don’t forget to stay tuned right here on the one and only orignial Bali surf report website !
