****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Well a big thanks to you all for tuning into the baliwaves.com again today but unfortunatly there’s nothing worth reporting on surf wise around the island of Bali again today. Pretty much dead flat in between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, and the reports I heard from down at Uluwatu yesterday was of waist high with the occassional bigger set. But at least weather wise we have another nice sunny day and a good time to go and do some sight seeing or somthing. Because hopefully by tomorrow afternoon we’ll be back in the water with the start of another swell.
So stay tuned and we’ll be the first to let you all know as soon as it happens.

****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Good morning friends and welcome back to the baliwaves.com for the start of another week of surf and weather info from your No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well if I said yesterdays surf check on the Outer Reefs was crook todays is kaput. Nothing more than a half to 1 foot wave breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. But there were still surfers out on Airports getting in some water time. Tomorrow is looking pretty much the same, but for those that just have to get wet (I remember the time) Uluwatu would be the best place to go look.
Wind direction was coming out of the WNW first thing this morning until around 9.00am when the ESE-SE off-shore Tradewind kicked in. Currently gusting up to 15knot+.
Tidal info is saying we had a 2.3mtr High @ 9.00am and then running back out for a 0.3mtr Low around 3.30pm
Weather wise we had a few drops of rain through the night and a few more through the early morning. Now at 10.00am we are getting back to blue sky and sunshine for the beach lovers. But with the strong wind I think kite flying would be better than being sand blasted.
Swell forecast; Saturday and the game is just about over for this swell, come Sunday the only place that will be breaking is down at Uluwatu and then only in the 2-3ft (waist to head high at best). But further out down in the Indian Ocean there is another system in transit that we should start producing some fresh waves around Wednesday / Thursday next week. This new system is really only going to get us through till Friday with waves up to 4-6ft, head high plus to double head high plus depending on location. Then on Saturday backing off again. But then again on Sunday next week it looks like we’ll be in for another solid boost with a much larger system moving in on us.
G-land; Ok the 10% discount for the early bookings into the G-Land Surf Camp has finished but I’ve spoken with the boss and he’s still prepared to give anyone who mentions baliwaves.com a 5% discount on standard, twin share and fan bungalows and a 10% discount on their air conditioned bungalows. Just mention baliwaves.com at their office and you’ll get money back in your pocket.
Traffic Up-date, we’ll the traffice anywhere from Kuta to Seminyak is still out of control and will continue to be clogged with slow moving traffic through until the Indonesian elections begins, not long to go.
Here’s a few tips for any new visitors, 1/ don’t change your dollars to Rupiah at home, you’ll get a much better rate over here in Bali. 2/ If you need to change dollars at the airport when you arrive only change enough to get you to your hotel. The airport also has lower rates than on the street. 3/ Changing dollars with the money exchanging counters on the streets always use the vendors that display a “no commission fee” sign.
Ok folks not much else to tell ya’s today, except the waves are on the way !!!
Have a good one
