****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for stippong by your baliwaves.com the daily run down on surfing and weather conditions here on the holiday island of Bali. And Hendra Surf Photography from down at Uluwatu has once again supplied us with these latest photos we have today.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have all but left us. Out there between Kuta Reef and Airport left it’s lucky to be showing in the knee to waist high plus range on the bigger set waves and not much else in between. But there’s plenty of surfers here on holiday in Bali so there was still quite a few takers scattered along the reef getting wet.
Surfing conditions were perfect with the ESE-SE off-shore Tradewind fanning the waves with clean wind between Kuta and Uluwatu, gusting between 8-12knot. NB: with the shape of Bali as we go past Kuta and up to Legian the island starts to curve so the ESE Tradewind tends to blow cross/on-shore as you get further up the coast to legian, Cunggu etc.
Looking for a wave today the best place to find any chance of a tube ride your going to have head down to the southern end of the island to Uluwatu. The beach breaks up along the Kuta to Legian also might have a few smallies worth a paddle on the higher end of the tide.
Tidal info for today is calling for a 2.4mtr High @ 11.30am and then a 0.0mtr Low around 6.00pm
Weather wise well at least the cloud cover has gone and today we are back to blue sky and sunshine. heading for a top temperature of around 30 degree’s Celsius. The water temperature has been cooled down to a chilly 19 degree’s Celsius.
Our sms surf report from the G-land Surf Camp was saying that surfing conditions are perfect over at G-Land with wave height still holding in the over head to double head high range. At the time of the report there were 25 surfers in the water.
G-land; Ok the 10% discount for the early bookings into the G-Land Surf Camp has finished but I’ve spoken with the boss and he’s still prepared to give anyone who mentions baliwaves.com a 5% discount on standard, twin share and fan bungalows and a 10% discount on their air conditioned bungalows. Just mention baliwaves.com at their office and you’ll get money back in your pocket.
And don’t forget to drop me a line if your looking for some surfer friendly accommodation here in Tuban / Bali (the quiter end of town). Right here at Home Base we have single rooms for US$15.00, US$18.00 for couple’s & US$25.00 for a twin share room. All rooms have Air conditioning, hot and cold water, tv, refridgerator and large private bathroom. 300mtrs back from the beach in fron of the Outer reefs here in Tuban.
Swell Out look for the next week is not showing anything substantial coming our way with wave height expected to yo-yo up and down in the 2-4ft+ range depending on location. But lets face it the forecasters could be wrong….
Ok crew have a good one and stay tuned to the baliwaves through out the weekend as we’ll keep it coming all through it.
Best Regards from Bali
