Macaronis Resort Surf Report; 20th July 09
Hi Guys
Well we all know its been such a long time since our last report, it’s just that we’ve been getting so many great waves up here we have barely had time to do reports on our own website, let alone send them on to baliwaves.com. Fortunately Silm being the good bloke he is has now offered to upload our photos if we don’t have time, which should help us keep up to date in the future.
Anyway we have attached just a few of the epic shots collected in recent times (thanks to Bootsy, Christian, Fernando and anybody else who has contributed), and to get a full rundown on the situation here at Macaronis you can check out our reports page on the Macaronis Resort website to get the full run down (www.macaronisresort.com/reports.php). I guarantee, you won’t be disappointed.
We have had a busy year so far at Macaronis Resort and so far visiting boat numbers have either been down or the waves have been better than usual, I’d say a combo of both. And the guests we have had visit us this year have all been top crew, I can only remember in late May when a lot of pro’s visited the area and Macas was solid 6ft+ every day, when some of our guests felt a little intimidated and therefore had to settle with surfing other waves, but on most occasions crowds have been great and surf has been firing, something for everybody in the area. Thanks so much for coming to the party this year Huey, and at the same time thanks to all of our guests who have visited as well.
Apart from the above, we still have a few vacancies left in August, September (we are now looking at adding an extra trip at the beginning of September) and in October and November, so if anybody is keen just drop us a line, from US$1350 for 8 days / 9 nights or US$2250 for 15 days / 16 nights Macas Resort is still offering the best value for money in the Mentawais. Where else can you be parked in front of the best wave in the Mentawais, sleep in the comfort of your own private AC villa, and go off on an over-night surf charter when you feel like it?
Anyway, we won’t bore you with a long report, just because we have been away surfing our brains out over this time, instead you should check out www.macaronisresort.com/reports.php if you’d like to get a better picture.
Also check macaronis resort if you’d like to view our full list of Specials. Also stay tuned to our website as 2010 booking dates are not far away, and we may release another introductory special for early bird bookings, so keep on it to get in at a cheap rate by booking early for 2010. Feel free to email me for the details ([email protected]).
That’s it for now, we won’t leave it so long between reports next time. Also a great help for Slim to offer to upload our surf pictures for us on his website this time around, still the best surf website for Indo surf news and reports, I hear all the time from my mates living in Aus and visitors to Macaronis.
Ok bye for now and hope you’re getting waves where ever you are.
Mark @ Macas
