****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello crew and welcome bback to your baliwaves.com for the latest news on todays surfing and weather conditions here on the surf, sun and fun holiday island of Bali. Todays photos are courtesy of Hendra Surf Photography down at Uluwatu.
This mornings 7.00am surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to be holding in the 2-4ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport left. At the time the wind was coming out of the WNW @ 2-4knot and light on-shore here along Bali’s South Western coast. But should revert back to the ESE-SE by mid morning. When it does there will be some nice waves on all sections of the Outers and the special would be around at Airport Right as the tide also starts to push back in. But for now I’d imagine Keramas over on the East Coast would be the place to be. When the Tradewind does kick in just about every reef break from Kuta Reef through to Uluwatu will be producing the goods.
Tidal info for today is calling for a 0.4mtr Low @ 8.00am and then running up for a 1.9mtr High around the 2.00pm mark.
Weather wise this morning we have a little bit of cloud hanging over us because of the light on-shore wind I’m assuming. But that should burn off or get blown away when the Tradewind kicks in. Heading for another hot one of around 32 degree’s Celsius.
Sms surf report fro Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa was saying that the Peak is pure glass this morning with wave height in the head to well over head class. Lewie also mentioned that the numbers at Lakey’s are dropping right off, could be a good time to hit lakey’s.
Sms surf report from the G-land Surf Camp was calling for another hot day of waves over at G-Land. Wave height is still in the double head high range and lining up nicely on Money Tree’s through to the Launching Pad. Only 2 surfers in the water at the time of the report.
For the surfer / fishermen who frequent these pages I have another fishing report along with some new photos ready for ya’s.
Photo up-date, I’ve also got another round of pictures for the Bodyboarders and they know where they can find them. The guys from the Kandui Surf Resort have also sent us through another report and photos, so give me an hour or two and they’ll be visible.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp.
I’d also like to give Pat and Brian from www.eventpowerandlight.com.au a huge thank you for there exceptional help for me to be able to purchase a new lap top so these reports can keep flowing. This couple of everyday Aussies not only helped me while they were in Bali but also helped a young Balinese surfer start his own life by helping him to buy his own double outrigger boat and motor becoming his own master in life. Then they backed that straight up by sponsoring another young Balinese student to help his struggling mother who was battling to keep up with his school fee’s. So if your in Australia and you need portable power and light for an event contact Pat and Brian.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp8,315 — 1US$=Rp9.850 —
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today ! Have a good one what ever ya got on today, drop in again tomorrow if you want to know what’s going on here on the No.1 holiday island destination of Bali.
Best Regards from Bali
