****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves.com, your eyes on surfing and weather conditions here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali. And first up just to let you know whats been happening here on the island. The last few days have been another National holiday period through Indonesia. And it seems like all the non Hindu’s living in Bali have returned to their different islands and then we have been swamped by domestic Indonesian’s tourists who don’t live in Bali ? Anyway the end result is traffic KAOS in Kuta /Seminyak, that’s going to last for a few more days yet.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing some nice little waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left in the waist to head high plus range. The tide was still fairly low on my first recon so Middle Reef was the best option with set waves in the head to head high plus sector. As the tide started to fill back in Kuta Reef became quickly populated with up to 30+ surfers and wave height in the waist to chest high class. Airport Left was also providing waves in the waist to chest high plus class.
Surfing conditions were clean and glassy through the early morning session with the wind coming lightly out of the N-NE @ 1-3knot. But has since then swung further to the N-NW around mid morning. Right now at 2.45PM there’s hardly any movent at all.
Tidal info for today was saying we had a 2.2mtr High @ 12.00 noon and then we’ll see a reef exposing 0.2mtr Low around 6.00PM
Weather wise it’s been another cloudy day with a few drops of rain through the morning. Currently the temperature is somewhere around the 26 degree celsius mark.
Sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was saying wave height was a solid head to well over head on Kongs and Money Tree’s. No wind over at G-land this morning and there were 3 surfers on Kongs at the time of the report.
Swell Forecast; What the forecasters are predicting is for wave height to slowly back off through Wednesday and Thursday. Sometime on Thursday we will see the start of a new swell that will peak on Saturday in the 17ft (face) range. Holding through Sunday before slowly backing off on Monday / Tuesday.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Ok that’s todays news, have a good one and stay tuned to Bali’s Premier Surf Report website if you wanna be in the know.
Best Regards from Bali
