****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hi crew and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com for todays news on surfing and weather conditions here on your favourite holiday destination of Bali. And just to let ya’s know that we’ll be back to normal again with fresh photos everyday from our friends Hendra Surf Photography starting later tonite !
This mornings 7.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have dropped off a touch from yesterday, currently in the 1-2ft class (knee to waist high plus) between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still on the bottom of a 0.1mtr Low so Middle Reef was the only surfable section. Middle’s had a handful of surfers in the water with the odd waist to waist high plus set wave coming through. Not to many other options around this morning with the low tide and small swell. But come midday and if you were keen enough you could probably find a little wave up along the beach between Kuta and Legian. Likewise at Canggu, and Uluwatu would be the best bet for better size and power here on the West Coast, and maybe Nusa Dua would have a few over on the East Coast.
Surfing conditions this morning were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the N-NW @ 1-3knot.
Tidal info for today had a 0.1mtr Low @ 7.00AM and then she’ll be running back in for a 2.1mtr High @ 1.00PM
Weather wise today has started off with more light cloud cover with the occassional burst of sunshine. Shaping up to be a warm and humid one along the beach with a top temperature of around 29 degree’s celsius.
Swell Forecast; What the forecasters are predicting is for wave height to slowly back off through Wednesday and Thursday. Sometime on Friday we will see the start of a new swell that will peak on Saturday in the 17ft (face) range. Holding through Sunday before slowly backing off on Monday / Tuesday.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Photo up-date; the boys from the Kandui Surf Resort have also sent us through some new photos and a quick up-date on what’s been happening in their neck of the woods, and I’ll have that on-line in another 5 minutes.
Have a good one and make sure ya stay tuned to the original Bali surf report (since ’99)
