****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy crew and welcome back to the baliwaves.com for todays insider info on surfing and weather conditions here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali. And once again we can thank Hendra and his team down at Uluwatu for these current photographic gems on the site.
Hey and did you get a look at that wave model for next Sunday (Stormsurf) I posted on the site yesterday, man o man, showing 30ft faces, if it holds together !
Ok, this mornings 8.00AM surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was starting to look more like it. We have had a solid increase in wave height over night and now there’s 3-5 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was just starting to push back in so Kuta Reef was showing all the signs for some perfect waves around mid morning, with chest to head high plus waves. Middle Reef was getting into the double head high range and like KR Airport Left will be working from mid morning through early afternoon. The wind is still light off-shore at the moment and if it stays that way for another hour or two Airport Rights will be another option on the Outer Reefs.
Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with just the slightest tinge of ESE off-shore wind on it.
Tidal info for today is calling for a 0.2mtr Low @ 6.30AM, then running back up for a 2.2mtr High @ 12.30PM
Weather wise we had more early morning rain and now at 9.00AM there is still some cloud hanging around. All the same we’ll be heading for another hot and humid day with a maximum temperature of around 31 degree’s Celsius.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp8,450 — 1US$=Rp10.000 —
Photo up date; I’ve got another batch for the bodyboarders and a hole truck load of fishing photos loaded up yesterday afternoon.
Swell Forecast; Well it’s getting a bit risky in this department with a lot of “way off the mark” info on the net of late. But…. if what the forecasters are predicting for the next week is true we are in for plenty of waves here in Indonesia. It looks like our next boost will arrive this coming Tuesday that is going to be backed up by at least another swell right behind it. Then further out on the radar there is what looks like to be the biggest swell that we’ve seen in quite awhile in transit to us. That should smack into this island around next Saturday.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some uncrowded waves
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Ok crew have a good one and if you want to stay in tune with Bali then ya had better stick with the baliwaves.com
