****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Good morning crew and thanks for stopping off for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on your No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali. And we can thank Hedra and his Team for these latest photos we have for you today.
This mornings 8.00AM surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to be back up in the head to double head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. But once again we have a 8.00AM Low tide so that means Kuta Reef and Airports were lacking enough water over the reef. Where as Middle Reef was very surfable with waves in the head to double head high class. And no shortage of surfers out there with at least 15 alreay in the line up. As the tide turns and starts it’s run back in then we’ll see some nice waves in the head to head high plus sector on KR and AL.
Surfing conditions were clean and glassy even though the wind was blowing light on-shore coming out of the WNW @ 1-3knot. But we can also expect the ESE-SE Tradewind to start up around late morning and further improve the wave quality between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today is calling for a 0.5mtr Low @ 8.00AM and then turning around for a 1.7mtr High @ 2.30PM.
Weather wise we have a part cloudy and partly sunny start to the day and heading for a warm 30 degree’s Celsius along the beach.
Last night I had a sms surf report from a friend who is currently over at G-land he was saying that yesterday wave height was in the solid double head high plus range and perfect waves breaking through Money Tree’s. Anthony also mentioned that he was lucky enough to score some action on Speedies on the top of the tide. Wave height was also on the march towards sun set.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp8,450 — 1US$=Rp9.950 —
Swell Forecast, Ok so really the charts are still saying that everything is still on track and pretty soon it’s going to be over sized. Starting off sometime in the next 12hrs. Wave height should make a pretty sharp jump in size into the 14ft face class. Then through Friday back off into the 12-11ft (face) range. Then Saturday see’s wave height smacking us in the face with up to 20ft+ face’s. Then wait for it, Sunday going off the richter scale with up to 25ft+ wave height. This mother should hold through Monday before easing back into the 14-11ft range Tuesday then she’s just about gone on Wednesday. Further out on the edge of the radar there could be another smaller system ready to move in.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Ok folks have a good Friday and get ready for a huge weekend on the baliwaves, cause as ya’s already know we keep the reports and images rocking all through it. And it’s a pretty safe bet you’ll be seeing some fresh video footage from Padang Padang !
Best Regards from the real surfers paradise
