****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves.com for todays news on surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little holiday island of Bali. Todays photos are once again courtesy from our good friends down at Uluwatu, Hendra Surf Photography.
This mornings surf recon on the Outer reefs was showing that if anything wave height has backed off a touch with only 1-2 footers breaking betwen Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Well, maybe the odd head high set wave hitting Middle Reef. Kuta Reef was hardly breaking but there were a few ridable waves on Middle Reef and Airport left. And with the tide still running in for a 2.1mtr High around 10.00AM it’s not going to be improving any at least for another couple of hours.
Surfing conditions are a lot cleaner today with the wind back around to the ESE-SE @ 8-10knot+ Virtually blowing straight off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today says we’ll have a Full Moon 2.1mtr High @ 10.00AM and then running out for a 0.3mtr Low @ 3.00PM.
Looking for a wave this morning I’d say the beach breaks up along the Kuta to Legian stretch would be worth having a look at. And for the reef junkies Uluwatu would be the best option for more size and power.
Weather wise today we have a big improvement on the last couple of days with a return of blue sky and sunshine. Still the odd patch of cloud but heading for a top temperature of around 30 degree’s Celsius.
Sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was saying that there’s another good day of waves coming on for the lucky one’s currently in camp. Wave height is still a respectable 4-4ft+ hitting the Launching Pad and top end of Speedies. 8 surfers in the water on the Pad at the time of the report.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that; –1AU$=Rp8,300 — 1US$=Rp9,600 — give or take a few Rupiah.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 (Rp150,000) per night (single) or US$18.00 (Rp180,000) for a couple and US$25.00 (Rp250,000) twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Ok folks that’s about all I’ve got for ya’s today but we’ll be back again tomorrow with another round of Bali surf and weather info.
Best Regards from Bali
