****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy crew and thanks for waiting around for me to get back to you with the news on whats been happening surfing and weather wise here on everybodies favourite surfing holiday island destination of Bali.
Well thanks to Hendra and his team down at Uluwatu you can see in these current photos that there’s been some waves down at Ulu over the last couple of days. And surfing conditions havn’t been too bad with the wind light and variable, even the odd hour or two of clean off-shore stuff. Through the morning we’ve had a light E-NE wind, combined with the high tide. Perfect for locations north of Legian like Canggu, through to Balian.
This mornings surf check of the Outer reefs here in Tuban revealed that the little swell we did have out there yesterday has again all but left us, with only 1-2ft at best between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. No surfers in sight while I was down there.
Surfing conditions were clean with the wind coming lightly out of the NE @ 1knot. So for the record surfing conditions would be clean and glassy at just about every beach and reef break this morning.
Tidal info for today has a 1.7mtr High @ 9.00AM and then running out for a 0.7mtr Low around 2.30PM.
Looking for a wave today I’d be heading down to the southern end of the island for the best size and power. You could possibly find a few little beach breaks down along the Kuta to Seminyak stretch of sand on the top of the tide. Balian would have also been worth the effort of getting there over the last few days.
Swell Outlook for this week is looking much more promising for surf. Wave height for today and Tuesday is only going to be getting smaller, but fingers crossed come Wednesday we’ll see a new swell starting to show that should push wave height back into the head to double head high range, depending on location. Things should stay that way through till Sunday before fading out.
Changing dollars to Rupiah and the Australian dollar is still the biggest mover and currently averaging around Rp8,750. for 1AU$
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 (Rp150,000) per night (single) or US$18.00 (Rp180,000) for a couple and US$25.00 (Rp250,000) twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.

Ok, it’s been tough the last week or two on the wave scene but it looks like Bali will be getting back to bisiness as usual on that front starting mid week. Have a good one and stay tuned to the original Bali surf report website.
Best Regards in Surfing
