****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Welcome back to your baliwaves.com for the latest on surfing and weather conditions here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings 8.00am surf check on the Outer reefs was once again showing wave height breaking in the waist to head high class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Nothing but spectacular for Bali surf standards but all the same some clean little waves peeling off on all three main sections of the reef. Kuta Reef had 2 surfers in the line up with waist to chest high waves wrapping down the reef. Middle Reef also had a few riders out there at the time with slightly bigger set waves pushing the head high range.
Surfing conditions were and still are perfect, with the wind coming out of the ESE @ 6-9knot, blowing straight off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today has a 0.7mtr Low @ 10.30am and then running back up for a 2.1mtr High around 5.00pm.
Weather wise this morning it’s been hot and humid, right now at 12.00noon we have some cloud moving in and the possibility of an afternoon shower. Currently the temperature would be around the 30 degree Celsius mark coupled with full humidity.
Looking for a wave around Bali today and I’d have to say that Uluwatu would be the place to be for the best size and power.
Our friends at Uluwatu, Hendra Surf Photography have also dropped us off a bunch of photos that they took on Christmas Eve. You can check them out on our Readers Report page.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here at Home Base in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$16.00 (Rp160,000) per night (single) or US$19.00 (Rp190,000) for a couple and US$26.00 (Rp260,000) twin share. Then contact slim.
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
As you all know we have been trialing a new photo viewing program to make it easier for you to flick through the photos on site. Ok, as you also should know is that we highly value our advertisers / sponsors, as they help pay our running costs / bills etc etc. So at the end of the trial period (1 month) if our advertisers / sponsors are still getting the same amount of views and visits then we will keep this system in place. If not then it’ll be back to the old system !!! So please make the time to visit the good folk who help keep the baliwaves on your monitor.
Best Regards from Bali
Slim
