****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves for the news on todays surfing and weather conditions here on the ever popular surfing holiday island of Bali.
Well this mornings 7.00AM surf check of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was saying one thing to me. East Coast is the place for surifng this today. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left has moved up another notch and now breaking in the 2-4ft class. But with the wind coming straight out of the West at 10knot+. So she’s pretty well on-shore right along the entire West Coast, but on the other hand straight off-shore at just about every location over on the East Coast. So as soon as the sun passes over head I’ll be taking a bike ride over there to see whats happening and hopefully snap ya’s a few photos.
Tidal info for today has a 1.8mtr High coming up @ 11.00AM and then running out for a 0.7mtr Low around 4.30PM
Weather wise we are off to a mainly sunny sky with some cloud hanging about. All the same we’ll still be in for another hot and humid day along the beach, this is Bali.
Swell Outlook for this week is looking much more promising for surf. Wave height for today is only going to be getting smaller, but fingers crossed by Wednesday we’ll see a new swell starting to show that should push wave height back into the head to double head high range, depending on locatiion. Things should stay that way through till Sunday before fading out.
Changing dollars to Rupiah and the Australian dollar is still the biggest mover and currently averaging around Rp8,645. for 1AU$. While the American buck is hovering around Rp9,425.
As you all know we have been trialing a new photo viewing program to make it easier for you to flick through the photos on site. Ok, as you also should know is that we highly value our advertisers / sponsors, as they help pay our running costs / bills etc etc. So at the end of the trial period (1 month) if our advertisers / sponsors are still getting the same amount of views and visits then we will keep this system in place. If not then it’ll be back to the old system !!! So please make the time to visit the good folk who help keep the baliwaves on your monitor.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 (Rp150,000) per night (single) or US$18.00 (Rp180,000) for a couple and US$25.00 (Rp250,000) twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Alight then crew have a good one, make sure ya drop back in later this evening for a digital glimpse of some East Coast surf.
