****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Hello again crew and as I mentioned in this mornings report and as ya’s can see in these latest photos I did make the run over to Serangan. I arrived on location at 8.30am to find around 25 surfers scattered over the two different left and right peaks. Wave height at first was only showing in the waist to shoulder high but it wasn’t long and there were 2-3ft+set waves coming through. The wind had already swung more to the SSW by this time making the wind cross / off-shore. I don’t think there would have been any cleaner conditions to be found anywhere else. By the time I packed up at 10.00am the number of surfers in the water would have been around 60 and more arriving by the minute.
The weather has also cleared up from this mornings overcast conditions and now at 12.00noon we’ve got 75% blue sky here in Tuban.
Attention to Fat Baz (Farrel) and Tom Hatrey, sorry guys can you try using a different email address as the ones you have sent me keep bouncing back when I reply. Thanks
****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com for todays look at surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
This mornings 6.00am swell and wind check on the Outer Reef indicators wasn’t looking real good to say the least. Wave height was once again being driven by a 20knot Westerly, showing itself in the 1-2ft class (shin to waist high) between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. So once again the entire West Coast is out of the picture surf wise. If the wind and rain hold off at lunch time I’ll take a ride over to Serangan and shoot a few photos for ya’s. Actually in the last half hour the wind has settled down to around 12knot still coming out of the West.
Tidal info for today has us down for another 0.1mtr Low @ 7.00am and then filling back in with a 2.3mtr High around 2.00pm
Weather wise, well this morning there’s still quite a lot of cloud moving about with some solid stuff looking towards the East. Currently now at 6.30am the temperature is a mild 24 degree’s Celsius and should peak around the 27 – 28 degree mark.
Looking for a wave the only option is to head over to the East Coast to the more protected locations like Nyang Nyang’s, Green Bowls, Serangan. Sri-Lanka and maybe Mushroom Rock.
Swell Forecast for the next 7 days is calling for a new swell to start showing later this afternoon and should put us back into the head to well over head range. Holding through Friday before starting to fade out on Saturday. Sunday and it’s just about over, Monday back down into the micro class and then another small bump on Tuesday.
I’ll also take a look at the dollar exchange rates for ya’s later today and give ya’s a heads up in tomorrows report.
