****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on everybody’s favorite holiday island of Bali.
Well it’s been pretty hectic for me the last couple of days, those that have moved house before will know the feeling. Anyway I haven’t missed out on much surf wise with the wind coming mainly out of the South yesterday. But Bali’s Wet Season is in progress for now, not too worry as come March it should be starting to turn back to blue sky and sunshine. I think we can hang out for another 6 weeks or so !
This mornings surf check on my swell and wind indicators of Kuta Reef to Airport Left was showing wave height to have backed down into the 1-2ft range. And even that is mainly being driven by a strong WSW wind gusting up to 15-20knots. Maybe over on the East Coast you’d find a few waist to head high waves at Serangan and Keramas. The more open locations of Green Bowls and Nusa Dua would be more wind affected. I’ll take a good look at what the swell forecasters are calling for this week and post my opinion on tomorrows surf report.
Tidal info for today had us down for a reef exposing 0.1mtr Low @ 7.00am and then she’ll be running back up for a 2.2mtr High around the 2.00pm mark.
Weather wise today it’s been raining off and on since early this morning and there’s more to come yet I’m thinking. Temperature wise the mercury should top out around 27 degree’s Celsius.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp8,450 — 1US$=Rp9,100 — EU$=Rp13,150 — Give or take a few Rupiah depending on vendor.
