March 17th surf report Our first group of guests for the 2010 season left yesterday. They were here for 17 days and got fun surf just about everyday. And, being early in the season, we were surfing with only a handful of other surfers or we had the lineup to ourselves most all the time. Our last surf was memorable. The swell was just small enough for Burgerworld to be breaking properly and the winds turned west around midday, which is the perfect wind for that spot. It was just what you dream about when you plan your Mentawaiian vacation. Sunny skies, 85 degree water, light offshore winds, overhead waves, and not another soul in sight. Even though we surfed for 3 or 4 hours and our bodies were spent, it was still hard to paddle to the boat as the sun was setting. I'm sure our departing guests all had smiles on there faces in the plane as they traveled back home. We have a rare, little break between groups, then our next guests arrive on the 20Th. The Indian Ocean looks like it's coming to life and I'm sure we will get some good waves.
