****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
G’day folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com for todays run down on surfing and weather conditions here on the real surfers paradise holiday island of Bali. And a special hello to all the surfers in Malaysia tuning into the baliwaves today :)
Bit late this morning as I had to duck out to Kuta Reef just to get wet… and why not I say. Anyway wave height has finally backed off a touch but still coming through in the 2-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The boys and I were on Kuta Reef, wave height was only in the waist to chest high plus range but still plenty of fun little peelers for everyone out there. A total of 9 surfers to be correct. Middle Reef was pulling in a more consistant head high but there were also quite a few more crew sitting on it. Airport left was also producing a consistant chest to head high wave for the 20 or so riders out there. I also had to duck up to Poppies Lane 1 around 10.00am and the waves along the beach break were looking pretty weak and mainly closing out in the knee to waist high range. But ideal for the 100’s of people learning to ride foamies on those huge big foamy boards.
Surfing conditions this morning were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the West @ 1-2knot. The water quality out on the reefs was perfectly clean and clear.
Tidal info for today has us down for a 1.8mtr High @ 9.00am and then dropping off for a 0.8mtr Low around 3.00pm. The next Moon Phase will be a Full Moon rising on the 29th of this month. Just in time for our next predicted swell to hit around Tuesday / Wednesday.
Weather info, hot and sunny, currently at least 32 degree’s Celsius right now @ 12.00 noon.
Water temp is just as good around the 25 degree Celsius mark.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find –1AU$=Rp8,250 — 1US$=Rp9,050 —
Ok crew that’s about me for today but drop in again tomorrow for our Sunday Session as the baliwaves just keeps on keeping on 24/7.
