****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hi crew and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on the happy and wet little holiday island of Bali.
First up yesterday was a no event day of surfing for practically all day. With a strong SSW-SW wind and heavy rain from morning through till around 4.00pm. When the rain did let up I snuck a peak at the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. I was stoked to see clean head to well over head lines peeling off on Middle Reef with clean and light off / cross-shore wind.
This morning the 21st and the rain has eased off to a light drizzle for the early surf check. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left is showing in the chest to over head region, with Middle Reef picking up the bigger one’s. The tide was just about on the bottom of a 0.9mtr Low. Hopefully we’ll also see wave height increasing as the tide starts to push back in for a 2.1mtr High around 2.00pm.
Surfing conditions are still nice and clean right now at 10.00am but I think the wind has been predicted to turn to the WSW-SW at some point.
Weather wise it’s been pretty bad the last couple of days, for Bali anyway. Lots of rain with constant cloud cover. That’s also why there’s been no new photos since it started. Fingers crossed the weather will improve today and start to clear up, but…. I think there’s still a little bit more rain yet to come.
I’ve also heard that the crew from, indoceansurfcharters.com “have three spots available on a boat trip with Indocean Surf Charters for seven days, leaving Bali on the 10th of May and returning the 17th. We will be surfing waves on Nusa Lembongan, Lombok and Sumbawa at a great time in the season.
With a total of 7 surfers, it will be $1125 each”.
Don’t forget that baliwaves.com is still offering anyone who wants to get over to the legendary location of G-Land (www.g-landsurfcamp.com) an honest 15% discount through till the end of April. Then after April you’ll have to settle for a 10% discount. It all means money back in your pocket !!!
