****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hi crew and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves, I also better apologize about my lack of internet the last couple of days. Hopefully everything should be back to normal by the time the next swell hits Bali. For now I gotta drag myself down to the internet cafe to get this stuff on line.
Anyway this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was looking like wave height had gotten a touch smaller, if that’s possible. Once again 1-1ft+ is how I’m going to describe it. Hopefully this weekend we’ll see the Outer Reefs back in action with some more of Mother Nature’s Perfection
Surfing conditions were pretty clean and almost glassy with just the slightest hint of on-shore wind out of the WNW to take the shine off.
Tidal info for today has a 1.1mtr Low @ 10.00am and then coming back in with a 1.8mtr High @ 4.00pm. Not much tidal range as we’re just around the middle of the Moon Phase at the moment.
Looking for a wave today, there are still plenty of options for a paddle today. I’m sure the crew up at Balian are getting some fun stuff. Canggu could also have something on the sandbar section first thing this morning and again later as the tide rolls back in. You could still find some smallies at Keramas and back down South at Nusa Dua there’s be a wave.
Ok that’s me fo now check the photos and video and yesterdays report is published below
Cheers

****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for waiting around for the latest reports and news on surfing and weather conditions here on the ever popular surfing holiday destination of Bali.
As ya’s know I called a lay day (sickie) yesterday, as a man needs to take a break every now and again….right. I mean there’s other stuff to do besides surfing everyday…. isn’t there ??? Anyway ya’s didn’t miss much as the wind was coming out of the West most of the day and the waves were only marginally bigger than today.
How ever this morning I was up early and ready to roll with my friends Devis Ratif and Pepen Hendik. But not before I had time for a quick look at the Outer Reefs here at home in Tuban. Sadly enough there was only 1-1ft+ of swell breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. An then the wind was already coming fresh out of the West @ 4-7knot.
So as ya’s can see in the current photos I shot we made our way up to Keramas. Wave height here was a little better with 2-2ft+ (the occassional head high set wave). Surfing conditions were clean and glassy and remained that way thjrough till around 10.30am when the wind shifted a little more to the SW. Crowd wise at Keramas today there was a solid turn out with at least 25 surfers in the water while we were up there.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 1.0mtr Low around 8.30am and then running back in for a 2.0mtr High @ 3.00pm
Weather wise it was pretty darn hot over on the black mineral sand beach of Keramas with the mercury at the very least reaching 32 degree’s Celsius by midday.
Swell forecast for the next week is looking like it’s going to be staying in the small to fun size over the next 2-3 days. With a bit of the yo-yo effect thrown in. Then fingers crossed by Saturday / Sunday we should be seeing a fresh small to medium sized swell showing. Then again next Tuesday, even more like Wednesday, another increase in wave height . So lets hope for the wind to swing back around to the ESE-SE for some no nonse West Coast power.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that –1AU$=Rp8,285 — 1US$=Rp 8,950 — of course rates will vary from vendor to vendor.
Kuta traffic up-date; Try to avoid the Kuta Square to Kuta Beach area from mid afternoon through to around 9.00pm if you travelling by car or taxi. Or expect some intense traffic. Even by motor bike using all lanes and the footpaths it’s still tuff.
