****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks, well it may be Monday for a lot of you and the start of another working week. But here in Bali Monday only indicates the start of another surfing week. So if it’s a surfing break you need then Bali is going to be the place to get it.
Thanks again to the team at Hendra Surf Photography down at Uluwatu for todays photos.
This morning’s 7.45am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wasn’t looking real promising, but there were a few waves for the enthusiastic ones. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was showing in the 1-2ft range with the very occasional slightly bigger freak set. With the tide rolling in hard for a 2.1mtr High scheduled for 9.00am there was nothing breaking on Kuta or Middle Reefs. But down on Airport Left there were some fun sized waist to chest high waves coming through. No reef taxi’s parked in the channel to indicate only a few surfers out there at the time.
Surfing conditions were and still are clean as, with the wind coming out of the East @ 1-3knot and virtually blowing straight off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
The next Low tide is going to be 0.6mtr’s around 3.00pm. We are also coming up to the Full Moon which is going to be rising on the 28th of April. Just in time for our next predicted swell.
Weather wise we had some early morning showers before the sun rose. Now at 8.45am it’s mainly overcast but with some patches of blue in between. With a possibility of showers later this afternoon / evening. Heading for a midday temperature of around 32 degree’s Celsius.
Swell prediction for next week says that wave height will keep backing off through today and Sunday. But we should still be able to find a few at the more exposed locations around Bali. Monday see’s a small pulse that will again fade out through Tuesday. Small waves Wednesday morning but by late Wednesday we should be feeling a solid new swell. Thursday will be the peak, and if the winds are with us should see a lot of locations producing waves.here along the West Coast. Dropping off hard through Friday and not much happening on the following Saturday. With another small pulse on Sunday to cap off next weekend. But lets keep our fingers crossed anyway.
