****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks, thanks for stopping by and grab hold of your hats cause it’s all starting to happen again here on the ever popular surfing holiday destination of Bali. And how sick is the first tube sequence in todays gallery, sick.
We didn’t even bother with a surf check on the Outer Reefs this morning. Our first surf check went down at the Padang Padang look out around 8.15am. And there wasn’t much happening from Padang Padang all the way down to Bingin, waist to chest high at best. So Uluwatu was the obviouus choice. Arriving there to see wave height in the head to solid over head range but with the wind coming lightly out of the SSE. There was still some solid barrels breaking for the small crew on Temple’s and the Main Peak was pulsing some double head high set waves. But before you knew it the wind dropped off, the tide ran out and the Racetrack section started to come alive. I had to grab a massage off one of the girls down at Uluwatu after shooting like 400 photos. An hour later when I popped my head back up the wind had turned to the WSW and on-shore so it was time to pack up for another day.
Weather wise today it’s been mainly over cast with some rain through the morning. Then clearing away for a very hot and humid midday. Now at 5.00pm the clouds are starting to brew and we might see a drop or two tonight.
Ok, the swell was looking like it might keep building and possibly peak tonight, but either way we’ll still have plenty of surf here tomorrow. And did I mention that there appears to be at least a few more swells coming in back to back over the next week ? Good time to grab a flight and get over to Bali.
