****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello folks and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com for todays news on surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
As you can see in todays photos, we no doubt in our minds where we were going to be surfing today. Why not after scoring there the day before, it was another certainty for sure. Arriving around 8.15am to find wave height had backed off a foot or two but still coming through relentlessly in the head to over head class. Crowd wise it was around the same with 15 or so surfers in the line-up. But on the beach there was a hive of activity with the planned night surfing session planned for tonight, but no gate crasher’s allowed.
Surfing conditions were clean and glassy for the first hour before the wind started to pick up out of the NNE and then slowly swing further around to the ESE. But even as we were leaving at 12.00noon there were still plenty of waves coming through and 5 surfers left in the water.
Here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban @ 3.00pm we have clean off-shore wind and wave height in the waist to head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Bigger than what it was through the early am so there’s every chance that we could be seeing some better size again tomorrow.
Tidal info for today was showing a 0.7mtr Low @ 7.30am and then running up for a 2.3mtr High around the 1.00pm mark.
Weather wise we’ve had another part cloudy part sunny type day, well over on the East Coast anyway. Temperature wise the mercury would have reached the 30 degree Celsius mark. While the water temp is also pretty good @ 23 degree’s Celsius.
Sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to be hitting Money Tree’s and the Launching Pad in the head to double head high range. Surfing conditions at 9.30am were clean and glassy with no surfers in the water.
I’d also like to mention to anyone that’s interested in doing some advertising on Bali’s biggest surfing website (us) that for a special 3 month trial period we’ll give you over 30,000 views per month for as little as US$100.00 per month (valid till June 30th 2010).
