****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Good morning surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves again today for the very latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the happy little holiday island of Bali. And Selamat Hari Ray Galungan dan Kuningan to all the Balinese surfers tuning in.
This morning I was down on the beach checking conditions on the Outer Reefs at 6.45am. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left has seemied to have had a slight increase in size. Not a hell of a lot but there was a few smallies peeling off on Kuta Reef in the waist to chest high range. No surfers in sight at the time. Not much happening on Middle Reef or Airport Left at the time.
Surfing conditions were pristine with the wind coming lightly out of the ESE @ 1-3knot. But should increase in strength through out the morning.
Tidal info for today has us down for a 1.1mtr Low @ 10.00am and then only just running back up for a 1.8mtr High around the 4.00pm mark Next moon phase is going to be a New Moon rising on the 13th of May.
Looking for a wave this morning as usual Uluwatu is going to be providing the best size and power here along the SW coast line of Bali. I’m sure the crew up at Balian would also have a little more size up there. Later this afternoon you might also find some waist to waist high plus sized fun along the beach breaks of Kuta.
The next swell is expected to start showing tomorrow and this one should deliver some solid waves with the period expected to be in the 16-17 second range. So get ready for it !
Sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was saying that wave height was hanging around in the head to over head high range, with clean off-shore wind.
