****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hi crew and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com for our Sunday Session with the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
No surf check on the Outer Reefs this morning it was straight down to Uluwatu. And as you can see in the photos there were some nice one’s coming through. We arrived around 8.30am to see wave height was hitting the Main Peak and Temple sections in the head to double head high range. Not too many surfers in the water at first but with the tide still running in. By midday there would have been at least 100 surfers spread between the Temple and the Main Peak. Still there were plenty of waves coming through to keep everyone happy.
If you noticed photo #9 in today’s gallery I’d like to say a big thank you to the boys and girls from Reef and Vans for putting on a great party last Friday night for the Miss Reef contest.
Surfing conditions this morning were clean and glassy and when the ESE-SE Tradewind kicked in around 9.00am it only got better.
Tidal info for today had a solid 2.5mtr High @ 10.00am and then later this afternoon there will be a reef exposing 0.1mtr Low around 5.00pm.
Weather wise, well the rain started around 6.30pm last night and didn’t let up until this morning. With some serious street flooding in the Kuta, Legian and Seminyak areas. Today has been pretty grey and gloomy with a few drops of rain down at Uluwatu. Temperature wise it was a warm and very humid 28 – 29 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Outlook is showing wave height to be backing off in size through the weekend and pretty small by Monday. Hopefully Tuesday will bring another swell running through wednesday before fading on the Thursday.
Ok I’ve also got a tonne of more new photos from our friends at Hendra Surf Photography (Uluwatu) and I’ll get some loaded up onto the Readers Report page ASAP. Stay tuned because we’ll be putting in plenty of road trips through next week.
