****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello again folks and just a quick up date on Balangan where we ended up this morning. As ya’s can see there was the odd head to over head high set wave hitting the point and down on the middle section. Not too bad I suppose and I’m sure the 35 surfers in the water were all having fun. Today’s photos and editing are courtesy of our own Ketut Pica from here at baliwaves.com. Our man in the water Scott T was also swimming down at Bingin this morning and has dropped off another batch of photos he shot. You can find those loaded into our Readers Report page.
Drop in again tomorrow for our Sunday session and we’ll have more of the latest news on surfing and weather conditions, only on the baliwaves.com.
****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy do surfers and welcome aboard the baliwaves.com surf and weather report machine coming at ya live from the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Another round of applause for our friends from Hendra Surf Photography for delivering us another batch of photos from Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu.
This mornings 6.45am surf check on the Outer Reefs is still showing wave height to be rolling through on Middle Reef in the chest to over head class. The tide was too low and still running out for Kuta Reef and Airport Left at the time. But there should also be a few smaller waves on them with a bit water over the reef.
Surfing conditions at the time were real nice with the wind coming out of the ESE – SE @ 7-10knot. But don’t count on it staying that mellow. I’d say by midday to early afternoon she could be gusting up to 15-18knot plus.
Tidal infor today has us down for a 0.6mtr Low @ 8.00am and then coming back up with a 2.2mtr High around 2.00pm
Weather wise the day dawned with a blue sky but now at 8.00am there’s cloud cover starting to throw over a blanket. I don’t think we will see any rain around this part of the island though.
Looking for a wave today, Middle Reef is looking pretty good here in Tuban and there were already at least 15+ surfers out there when I was down on the beach. Further down to the south you’d find some small little mechanical waves at Bingin on the morning Low tide. Balangan will be worth a look as the tide starts to push back in. And as Always Uluwatu will be delivering the best size and power on the island.
Ok friends I’m going to throw some camera gear in the box and head off down to the bukit with Ketut to see if we can shoot some new photos for ya’s. So stay tuned to the baliwaves.com all through the weekend.
