****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hi crew and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves and I just want to give ya’s a quicky this morning to let you know the swell is hitting Bali this morning. Wave height here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing in the over head to tripple head high class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Wind direction was coming out of the ENE @ 3-7knot and off-shore (at the time).
So we’ll be chilling for a little bit longer and waiting for the tide to start running out (0.2mtr’s @ 5pm) and taking a little trip down to the Bukit to see whats happening at Uluwatu and….. Padang Padang. So if all goes well I’ll have some interesting photos for you later this evening.
Stay tuned !

****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for the gospel on todays surfing and weather conditions from here on the happiest little holiday island of Bali.
This mornings surf recon on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was still as expected only showing wave height to be lapping onto the reef in the ankle to knee high plus range, between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. And with the wind light on-shore coming out of the W-SW @ 1-3knot. So we decided on heading over to the East Coast to see if we could fare any better.
Our first port of call was to Secrets at Padang Galak but here also wave height was only just in the knee to knee high plus range and breaking too close to the shore. So we back tracked down to Serangan and that’s where todays photos were taken. As you can see wave height here was coming through in the waist to head high region with the odd bigger set wave every now and again. Crowd wise we were also surprised to find only around 20 surfers in the water, plus a Russian surf school. Surfing conditions at Serangan were clean and glassy through until 10.30am when the wind started shifting a little more to the Southern quadrant.
Lets hope the forecasters have got it righ and tomorrow morning we see a 5mtr swell hitting the reefs of Padang Padang and the Outside Corner of Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today had us down for a mid morning High and then a mid afternoon Low. Tomorrow also see’s a New Moon rising so we can expect to start seeing some solid tidal ranges over the following few days.
Weather wise it was stinking hot over at Serangan and after standing out in the open sun for 2hrs shooting photos I was fried. Temperature wise it would have easily reached 34 degree’s Celsius.
Ok folks stay tuned as we’ll be bringing a little bit of Bali to you again tomorrow via our baliwaves.com Sunday Sessions.
Traffic up date, man o man don’t even bother to attempt to go anywhere near Kuta to Seminyak with a car. At the moment it’s the Indonesian school holidays and as usual half of Indonesia is currently in Bali doing nothing but driving around and around in circles, creating total grid locks. This will continue until at least the 12th of July when the kids return to school.
