****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hi crew and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on the best value for dollar surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Todays photo gallery is courtesy of our good friends down at Uluwatu HENDRA SURF PHOTOGRAPHY. I was away all day yesterday attending a cremation ceremony up in our mountain side village so I never got to take a look along the West Coast. But driving along the East Coast I did notice there was plenty of swell showing. I did how ever manage to take a bunch of photos from yesterdays ceremony and will give you a look at those at some point in time over the weekend. I’ve also got a great surf trip story and photos to load up, some of you may know the location most of you won’t. And as usual we don’t give out directions to off the radar locations sorry.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to be fading fast. She’s dropped down into the waist to head high class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. With the tide still dropping at the time only Middle Reef was offering some waist to head high set waves. And as the tide starts to run back in I don’t think there’s going to be too much happening on Kuta Reef or on Airport left. The best waves today will be found down on the southern end of the island at good old Uluwatu.
Surfing conditions are clean and consistant for this time of the year. Earlier the wind was coming out of the ENE but has since swung more to the East and should go even further around to the ESE – SE increasing in strength.
Tidal info for today has us down for a 0.7mtr Low @ 8.30am and then will be running in for a mid range 2.0mtr High around 2.30pm.
Weather wise there’s lots of blue sky out there and it is shaping up for another great day along the beach. Temperature wise we should see the mercury crack the 33 degree Celsius mark by early afternoon.
Swell predictions are saying we won’t be seeing a helluva lot of action over the next 3-4 days and then hopefully something new forming around the 7th – 8th.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp7,555 — 1US$=Rp9,010 —
Traffic up date, man o man don’t even bother to attempt to go anywhere near Kuta to Seminyak with a car. At the moment it’s the Indonesian school holidays and as usual half of Indonesia is currently in Bali doing nothing but driving around and around in circles, creating total grid locks.
