****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hey crew and welcome aboard the baliwaves.com for another Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali. And to get todays report under way the first 21 photos in todays gallery are courtesy of our friends at Hendra Surf Photography down at Uluwatu. The next 15 photos are from Serangan over on the East Coast, taken today.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was as expected showing only 1-2 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. So just for something a little different and also hoping to find less surfers in the line up we headed over to the East Coast for a look at Serangan. I suppose we were a little late getting over there arriving at 8.30am. But all the same the ESE-SE Tradewind hadn’t kicked in so the waves were still clean and glassy. Wave height over there was also a lot bigger than here on the West Coast with head to almost double head high set waves coming through. There were also only 3 other surfers in the water when we first arrived.
But as Murphy’s Law says, it wasn’t long after the boys paddled out that the wind come up out of the ESE which of course is on-shore on the East Coast. Never the less there were still plenty of waves coming through breaking both left and right with clean face’s.
Weather wise today we got off to a cloudy start this morning but clearing away by midday for blue sky and sunshine. Now at 4.00pm the clouds are rolling back in and we could see more rain later this evening.Temperature wise the mercury would have peaked between 30 – 32 degree’s Celsius along the beach.
On the Dollar to Rupiah scene it looks like the Aussie and US dollars have crept up some over night and currently around 1AU$=Rp7,700 — 1US$=Rp9,290.
