****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for checking into the baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on one stop surf, sun and fun holiday island of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have possibly nudged up a foot or so with waist to head high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still running out so Middle Reef had the best waves on the morning session. Clean conditions with the 7 – 12 ESE-SE off-shore Tradewind.
We decided to take a run up to Canggu to see what the surf was doing for the Oakley Pro Junior that’s currently running. Not really allowing for the still thick morning traffic by the time we arrived the wind was already getting pretty strong out of the ESE, and kinda cross / off-shore at Canggu. Even though the right hander on the river mouth where the contest was running had some dredgy waves in the chest to head high plus range. Some really hot surfing by the groms while we were watching, so if it’s still running tomorrow get up there and check it out. You can also check out the Oakley banner for the full run down on the contest.
The next High tide will be 1.9mtr’s around 2.00pm.
Weather wise today so far the day started off ok with plenty off blue sky and then by midday there was some dark cloud cover up towards Canggu. Temperature wise it would have been between 28 – 30 degree’s Celsius along the beach, while the sun was out.
Changing dollars on the streets of Kuta you can find that — 1AU$=Rp8,120 — 1US$=Rp8,895 —
I also through a video clip together of a few locations down on the southern end of the Bali. I’f it goes ok I’ll do a few more, I’ve got at least another 2000Gb of video footage in storage….
Swell Prdiction; Hopefully tomorrow into Monday/ Tuesday we might see a small spike in wave height and a few more locations on offer. Wednesday morning should see the start of a new swell that could keep on building through Thursday before slowing fading out. Should still be a few waves for next weekend fingers crossed.
