****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and welcome back to Bali’s first and foremost surfing website (since ’99) for the very latest news on surfing conditions here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali. Thanks to the crew at the G-Land Surf Camp for today’s photo gallery from the famous left hand reef called G-Land. You’ll also find a lot more photos from the last week at www.g-landsurfcamp.com
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was indeed showing a nice increase in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still too low for Kuta Reef and Airport Left at the time but Middle Reef was pushing through set waves in the chest to over head class with only 5 surfers in the water at the time. I’m sure there would have been some waves on KR and AL as the tide started to push back in, but only in the waist to head high region.
Surfing conditions were and still are as good as it gets with the wind coming out of the ESE – SE. Providing clean off-shore wind between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today has us down for a 0.7mtr Low @ 10.00am and then filling in with a mediocre 1.6mtr High around 3.00pm.
Looking for a wave today it wouldn’t have been to hard to find some nice fun sized waves. Bingin, Impossible’s and Uluwatu’s racetrack section would have had a few on the morning low tide. As the tide starts to fill back in around midday then Balangan and the Main Peak at Uluwatu would also be worth a look.
Weather wise today here in Bali we’ve got more blue sky and sunshine for the beach lovers. Heading for a top temperature of around 32 degree’s Celsius.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp7,895 — 1US$=Rp8,985 — Rates will vary from vendor to vendor. Here’s a tip worth remembering, if you see a higher than normal exchange rate beware as there will be hidden taxes involved and you’ll end up with a below normal exchange rate.
Sms surf report from the crew at the G-land Surf Camp was calling wave height also to have bumped up into the head to double head high range. Clean lines peeling down the reef from Money Tree’s down to the Launching Pad. No surfers in the water at 7.00am.
