****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves for todays run down on surfing and weather conditions here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali. And thanks to the guys at Hendra Surf Photography for this latest photo gallery from Uluwatu.
This mornings surf check here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to have dropped down into the waist to head high class between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Once again at the time the tide was too low for Kuta Reef and Airport Left but Middle Reef was still producing some fun sized head high set waves. That was about as close as I got to the beach this morning before having to head into the capital city of Denpasar to start organizing a birth certificate and dual citizen passport for my new girl. But I reckon Uluwatu would have still been churning out head to well over head high waves down there today.
Surfing conditions were and have been perfect all day with clean off-shore wind coming out of the ESE – SE gusting between 8 – 14knot.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.4mtr Low @ 8.00am and then running back in for a 2.0mtr High around the 2.00pm mark.
Weather wise it’s been more pure holiday conditions here in Bali with blue sky and a temperature of 32 – 33 degree’s Celsius along the beach.
Sms surf report from the crew at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to be hanging around in the head to well over head high class. Swell direction coming out of the SW and breaking on Kongs right down through the Launch Pad. No surfers in the water at 7.45am.
Sms surf report from Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa was calling wave height hitting “The Peak” in the chest to slightly over head mark. Surfing conditions were clean with a light off-shore wind for the morning session.
I’ll check out the dollar exchange rates and post them for you on my next up-date. Also don’t forget that tomorrow is Independance day for Indonesia and a national holiday that I also might just cash in on.
