Macaronis Resort Surf Report, 20th August 2010
Well another couple of trips down and some very happy punters. Surf over the
past 2 weeks has been a bit of a mixed bag with swell and wind directions
changing frequently. Macaronis has been very consistent which defintely
makes this one of the best waves around. Always breaking from low tide to
high tide and winds either off shore or onshore, it doesnt really matter.
Day trips to Batcave and further north to HT’s and Lances Left have produced
some great waves and a chance for guests to have a look around the area and
sample some different spots. Snorkeling and fishing has also been popular,
with a few coral trout being caught very close to the resort.
We had a couple of beginners in the camp last week who enjoyed small waves
at “inside macas” or “mini macas” and also “fish fingers” at the mouth of
our lagoon. They had a great time and their abilities definitely went up a
notch after their stay here at Macaronis Resort.
To finish the trip off, the guests and staff got together in the restaurant
for a party to celebrate Indonesian Independants Day or Hari Merdeka as it
is known here. Beers and music flowed with nearly everyone hitting the dance
floor to cut up the rug. A great night had by all.
Ok, until next time, enjoy the pics.
The Stickman over and out.
