****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello crew and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com for the 1 click run down on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on your favorite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was once again a little disappointing. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was still only in the waist to chest high region, with Middle Reef being the better low tide option. I did notice quite a few surfers already out there. I’m thinking with the swell forecasters only now showing swell direction more out of the SSW the East Coast would be where the better size is showing. But catch 22, the wind is already strong out of the ESE-SE. Off-shore here along Bali’s south western coast but on-shore on the south eastern side.
Ketut has take the 500mm and SLR and gone for a ride down to the bukit to call in and see whats happening at Uluwatu and then for a quick check at Balangan. So if ya have time call in later this evening for a look at his photos.
Plus my very next task is to load the new G-Land photos onto baliwaves, so there’s plenty of good stuff yet to come today.
Surfing conditions this morning were clean and tidy with the ESE – SE wind, blowing off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info has us down for a 0.6mtr Low @ 9.00AM and then filling back in with a 1.6mtr High around the 3.00PM mark..
Weather wise the day started off nicely here in Tuban but now at 11.00AM the sky has clouded over and there are a few rain loaded looking clouds down towards the southern end of the island.
Traffic up-date, at 12.00 noon yesterday the streets leading into and around Kuta were already jammed with cars, still a lot of domestic tourists from Java lingering after the end of the National holiday.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp8,250 — 1US$=Rp8,800 —
Sms text surf report from the good guys at the G-land Surf Camp was calling good clean lines in the head to almost double head high peeling down the reef on Money Trees and the Launching Pad. Onlt nine surfers in the water at the time of this up-date.
