****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks again for calling by the baliwaves.com for our 1 click run down on surfing and weather conditions from here on the ever friendly holiday island of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer reefs was again only showing wave height to be a very weak looking knee to waist high breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Even so there were still a couple of surfers riding Middle Reef, and I guess they were still having fun out there in the clean off-shore conditions.
Uluwatu was our objective this morning, knowing wave height would still have a little more size and power. Arriving at 10.00AM just as the tide was starting to push back in to see around 45 surfers spread between Temple’s and the Racetrack. Wave height as expected was still in the chest to head high plus sector and there were plenty of nice fun sized rides happening at Temple’s and on the Main Peak. More surfers kept arriving through until midday, but when we packed up around 2.30PM there would have been lucky to have been 20 surfers left in the water. By this time the low tide Racetrack section was also starting to kick in.
Surfing conditions at Uluwatu were clean with an off-shore SE wind but by 12.00 noon it had shifted more to the SSE turning a little cross / on shore.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.2mtr Low @ 7.00AM and then running back up for a 2.0mtr High around 1.00PM.
Weather wise today we got off to a cloudy start down on the bukit but ended just being another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island.
Swell Predictions for the next week are not looking real good. Tuesday wave height should remain similar to today’s size then it’s all down hill from there on. Next Saturday / Sunday see’s another weak swell arriving pushing wave height back into the head high range. Then further out around the following Wednesday see’s another weak but slightly more promising pulse starting.
